In a brief statement released earlier this week, David Baszucki, co-founder of the platform, issued an apology:
“We are deeply sorry for the distress caused by these reports. Player safety is extremely important to us, and we are cooperating with authorities while reviewing historical data related to these incidents.”
The company has not confirmed the existence of the reported in-game object
Investigation ContinuesLaw enforcement agencies are continuing to analyse digital records, user activity, and archived game assets dating back to 2012.
At present, no official cause has been confirmed.
