I want to know more about newer ROBLOX players on the ORC | Forum

In terms of my history, I joined Finobe early 2018 up until its death, Mercury and then Project Polygon which shut down relatively quickly. I joined ROBLOX in 2012.

Austiblox's community differs to other large revivals in the past which required invite keys. Invite key registration led to a more mature, albeit extremely toxic community with a few dozen femboys thrown into the mix. With these people being more mature (not mentally), they mostly joined pre-2014 on ROBLOX and I get why they're part of the ORC. For the most part it leads to an unpleasant community.

However, I've observed that open registration leads to a far younger demographic which has a correlation to the date they joined ROBLOX. I hear RetroStudio being thrown around a lot, which I assume is their first taste of old ROBLOX. There are even people who started playing ROBLOX in 2018 who are on here. I barely recognise any old names from Finobe here, as they have moved onto invite key revivals such as Tadah (now Kapish).

So I want to ask the community here on the forums these questions:

When did you join ROBLOX?

How did you find out about ROBLOX?

Why do you play Austiblox or other revivals over ROBLOX?

Thanks. I hope to get a better understanding. I personally think that a younger demographic is better for the old ROBLOX community, as it reflects how old ROBLOX was for old players. Everyone is young, naive and just out there to have fun on Austiblox. But many oftentimes I find it hard to relate to people who didn't join before 2014.

Not a new player but from my experience the community maturity is similar across all revivals (exception of Graphictoria). I have played old Roblox sense GT2. It may still not be the considered "good" but I think it has improved a bit. Personally I have had similar experience with quality of communities over many different revivals, such as Finobe, Polygon, and Tadah. Graphictoria 2-5 had the worst community I have been in. To me it always seems like the community gets less mature as it grows, not based on keys. I think keys limit growth, making the early stage of growth, where the community is most mature, is lengthened.

Also, just because you don't recognize a name, does not mean they are not here.

My usernames were different across revivals for example:

Graphictoria 2-5: Dued

Finobe/Polygon: ROBLOXisawesomme

Otorium/Austiblox/Dynamica: Gage

Goodblox: Gage4

Tadah/Kapish: Windows96

I feel you though, I wish I could find out who also played back in 2016/2017.

I think it could be both due to growth and keys. I agree with your statement about the community getting less mature, however I'll explain my reasoning for keys. Keys are primarily given to people who have close relations with people in the ORC, leading to the same honeypot of lunatics who are also older. Therefore less growth as you mentioned. And the Retro Studio players who are left starving for entry into these private revivals will therefore sign up to a site without invite keys like this one.

Well my opinion on the orc is kinda mixed. It sometimes is bad and sometimes is good. I am always in the hope of stopping toxic people in Austiblox, I can but I also want to do the same for other revivals(This can wipe out the need for invite keys when we have good moderation). But I can say a thing that Majority Atleast 70% of the revivals don't have good moderation I can't provide examples.

i joined in like mid 2017, dont remember when i joined finobe exactly but my username was uniteliz or smth, i wasnt really active so i wouldnt say i was exactly in the orc at the time, i joined tadah back when it was at v1, and then soon went on to play economy simulator after a friend recommended it to me, also gtoria too (ew) and some others, although i was primarily on economy simulator. overall i usually play this mostly because it active unlike any other rev (and i dont get shamed for being overly homo)

Sorry to make a big post. I'm an old roblox player. I first played as a guest in a hotel room on my friend's laptop. The first game I tried was the complex v4. That was all in 2012. Ever since then, Roblox became my go-to game throughout my childhood. 2013 and 14 were my favorite years playing roadblocks.
