The Windows install on the server imploded because Windows Defender saw a program as a virus (it wasn't a virus), tried to delete it, and crashed while trying to delete it. This is an extremely rare thing that can happen, but I have heard of it happening before. I have no idea why it took so long for the site to come back, though.
Also why is this in off topic?

everything they just said is a lie. the site was down because anonymous hacked it and the owner had to pay them $1000000 for the website to come back
