It could be placed right next to the "colors" tab and could add up to like 20 or so avatars and be able to rename/remove/update them whenever you need too.
Just a little something I noticed while trying to change my avatar a couple of times. 
An option to have "outfits" in the character creation menu | Forum
This could be helpful when it comes to saving an avatar you like and change into it later.
